Sonic Balls is an experimental, interactive instrument, played by hitting it with drum sticks or with your hands. The balls can be programmed in a variety of ways, so you can play single notes and drum sounds but also more complex harmonic patterns.

Please give details about what steps have been taken to make projects or events accessible to people with disabilities or learning difficulties:

I have created an interface which very accessible to engage with. I have tested it with children, teenagers but also refugees and asylum seekers.

  1. Accessibility to a wide audience.
  2. Using and designing attractive, intuitive interfaces for playing music.
  3. Varied music material.
  4. Possibility to collaborate.
  5. Taking into account the aesthetics of the interface in the context of electronic music.

Future plans

Introducing the instrument/ workshops in London hospitals, collaboration with charities which engage people with the arts
